The Lions Club of Mangakahia, on behalf of the Lions Clubs of Zone 2, (Whangarei area), will be holding the annual Young Ambassadors’ Award on Thursday 25th August 2022. The interviews, the dinner and speeches will be held on this date at a venue in Whangarei; yet to be confirmed.

The award is looking to encourage and reward youth that are potential community leaders in their community, and who have served their community and school over the last three years. 

The prize for the winner will be a cheque for $1000.00 with a second and third prize to be used for further study or travel.

Following the Zone finals, a Lions District Award competition will be held with the winner of each area competing. A substantial study grant will be awarded to the winner who will be selected from one of Lions’ Zone events.
