Students joined the christmas card making group to take part in serving the community by making Christmas cards for those who might be alone or need encouragement over the Christmas season. 

In discussion on possible recipients of the cards three groups were agreed by the students. They were concerned about elderly people in the community who were not able to be with their whanau and thought that they could be lonely and appreciate receiving a card. 

They wanted to say thank you to veterans for their years of service. They also wanted to say thank you to Kamo’s health care workers who deal with so much due to covid. 

Enthusiastic students created 310 cards and 6 framed posters which were gifted to six rest homes, kindergarten and community groups to include RSA.
