Year 10 student Blaze Nicholas represented Kamo High School on a recent leadership voyage on The R Tucker Thompson. Blaze described it as an amazing experience and the opportunity to make connections and form friendships with a wide range of students from other schools in the north.

It's been so awesome having you on this adventure with us this week. You are really smart and you absorb information like a sponge, which really shone through while you were out there sailing the ship! It's so cool how you gave everything a go with such enthusiasm, and your bubbly energy uplifts the people around you. It's incredibly lovely how well you've gotten along with your ship mates and how you've looked out for them along the journey. It was amazing how in your element you were, we were diving too! You know so much about our fish life and it was cool hearing you name all the different types of fish! You're also a very talented photographer and I hope you keep taking amazing pictures of our underwater life. Keep following your passions and getting out into nature. Catch you on the water again!
