AQUABOTS

KHS Editor —

New Club in 2022

Aquabots is a new club that is going to be starting at KHS in 2022. It is a cross-curricular club that has similarities to EPro8 and Science Fair where students work in teams of four to build robots that can complete obstacle courses underwater.

There are strong links to engineering, STEM, environmental and marine biology and physics where students demonstrate their practical and theoretical knowledge at competition level.

This is a year long course where students will be preparing for local and national competitions in the hopes of going international in the future. Numbers are limited to 28 students and the cost to join is $50, so if this sounds like you please look up Aquabots and Seaperch over your summer holidays ready to sign up with Ms Regan in Term 1 of 2022.

We have a guest speaker who has seen international success lined up to give a talk early Term 1 to give you a taste of what is to come over your time at KHS as an Aquabot member. Due to spaces being limited and the time frame involved, please make sure this is something you are willing to dedicate yourself to for the year as your team will be counting on you!
