Kia ora koutou katoa,

Welcome back to Term 2. We really hope you’ve enjoyed your Term 1 experience for 2022. 

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back for Term 2. Term 1 was hectic with students coming and going, isolating due to covid. We had many different co-curricular events cancelled. 

As head prefects our main focus was to increase the connections and strengthen whanaungatanga to create a safe and healthy school-wide environment. We wanted to provide activities and opportunities for students to get involved in and to help build relationships with other students, prefects and teachers. 

This term we are looking to build on what we set up in Term 1 with our prefects providing many different opportunities for our students. These include; lunchtime sports, mufti day to raise awareness and support for our new Afghan refugee community in Whananaki. We  also have Pink Shirt day happening on the 19th May to raise awareness for bullying and our school ball on Friday 3rd of June for all senior students. Have a great term.
