R. Tucker Thompson is a gaff-rigged topsail schooner based in Opua, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. She is operated as a non-for profit charitable trust and owned by the R.Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust. The mission of the trust is “Learning for Life through the Sea”

Kamo High are pleased to announce that we have a number of scholarships available for students who wish to experience time sailing on the R.Tucker Thompson. 

Our school co-ordinator is staff member Justine Blankenstien and she will advertise in our student notices the various voyages and opportunities as they come to hand.
