A word from the Principal - He kupu nā te Tumuaki

KHS Editor —

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa, warm greetings to you all,

We have now come to the end of our longest term of the year (11 weeks). Once again we have done our best to combat COVID and we are so happy that we have been able to stay open for this entire term, without having to operate our hybrid model of learning. Our regular attendance at school on site during covid has been on average 75%. We very much appreciate the families who have been keeping us informed about their isolation statuses so we can provide support and learning for their young people.

During this period our support staff, in particular the admin team has been amazing. They have worked hard developing new systems, sending out information, maintaining contacts with families, updating statuses and sending out notifications of cases in classrooms. This has been a tremendous team effort and our support staff have really stepped up to ensure our school and our teachers have the most accurate information to support our learners.

I know that COVID is not going away any time soon, however, I know that we are all in need of a break after this last little onslaught.

A reminder to review the alert light system for Orange - as this is what we will start with for Term 2.

Ka hari Aranga ki a koutou katoa. Happy Easter to you all.
