A Fond Farewell to Nelson Block D
It’s been an eventful fortnight, and we have witnessed significant change around our school.

As you may have noticed, Nelson Block D has been coming down, marking the end of an era. This iconic classroom building, which has stood the test of time, has been a home for many of our Ākonga over the years.

While it’s bittersweet to see it go, we’re excited for what’s to come.

The space is being transformed to better serve the needs of our students, and we’re looking forward to the new opportunities this will bring. We have been successful in working with a great programme with Sport New Zealand called Active as. With this support we should see some amazing activity spaces made available for our students in the coming year.

Thank you, Nelson Block D, for all the memories. Here’s to new beginnings and the future ahead!

Staff Only Day

A big thank you to all our whanau for keeping your children at home on Monday to allow our staff to fully focus on their professional development. Teacher Only Days are a vital part of enhancing the skills and knowledge of our staff, ensuring that they are continually growing and evolving in their roles to best support the students at our school.

School Focus: Literacy, Numeracy & Year 11 Course Design

As part of our ongoing commitment to student success, our focus remains on literacy and numeracy, key building blocks that provide every student with the essential skills they need to excel both academically and personally. Alongside this, we are putting extra emphasis on Year 11-course design, working to tailor programs that will best support our senior students in their learning and academic journeys.

We value the importance of ongoing professional development for our staff and know that this dedication benefits our students, as we continue to work together for their success. Thank you again for your support in making this day possible!
