Message from the Principal

Conrad Kelly —

E te whānau, tēnā koutou katoa,

Thank you to those of you who attended last Wednesday’s Kathryn Burkett workshop; ‘Building Resilience and Managing Anxiety – how to support children through change’. Thank you also to James Appleton for organising the event.

I’ve heard Kathryn present three times this year and each session has been, informative, thought provoking and full of new learning and ideas. You can find a summary of Kathryn’s key points and links to further resources in this newsletter.

This evening the KNS PTA will be holding their final meeting for 2022, at 7.30pm in the staffroom. On behalf of our whole school community, thank you to the PTA for your wonderful work in building community and fundraising. You make a huge contribution to the strong partnership between parent/caregivers and the school that is such a feature of our KNS culture.

Our Kapa Haka Extension group has been invited to perform as part of this Saturday’s Wellington City Council celebration of completion of the Karori Town Centre upgrade. Our tamariki will be performing at around 11.00am, near the Karori Library, weather permitting. You are all welcome to come along.

Board End-of-Year Parent/Caregiver Survey

Every year the Board of Trustees seeks feedback from our parents/caregivers on how well KNS is meeting the needs of our students and community.

The feedback from the annual survey helps us to know if we are on track to meet our charter goals or if there are any areas that require greater focus.

So please use the following link to access the survey and let us know your thoughts about how we are doing. The survey should only take 5-10 minutes.

Please note the survey closes on Tuesday 06 December at 3.00pm.

You can find a link to the survey here

As always if you need any support or have any questions, please contact one of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT):
