Message from the Principal
Kia ora tātou Welcome back to the third term of the year.
We are looking forward to an exciting term including the Art Splash Festival, Dance Splash, a range of inter-school sports and next week’s Kapa Haka Festival at Wellington College. The Kapa Haka Festival will feature groups from all nine of our Kāhui Ako schools.
Bruce Kelly – KNS Principal 1970 to 1992
In the holidays I received the sad news that Bruce Kelly had died on July 10th. Bruce was the principal at KNS for 22 years, from 1970 to 1992 and I know that many of you who are ex-KNS students will remember him fondly. He maintained a keen interest in our school and was a regular visitor to my office, up until a couple of years ago. Bruce made a significant contribution to New Zealand education, including being President of the NZEI.
Term 3 - Staff only Day (Friday 26 August)
Please note that we will be holding a staff only day on Friday 26 August, school will be closed for students on this day.
