You may have noticed that the playground at the bottom of the playbank has re-opened. It was closed while the bark chips were replaced with a more permanent safety surface. The playground looks great and is getting plenty of use. The next step in this project is the replacement of the slide. The supply of a new slide and steel supports has been delayed however, we expect this to be in place by the end of the month.

The completion of this project will mean that two major pieces of outdoor property work have been completed in the last 12 months, in 2021 the astroturf was replaced. It is pleasing to see progress in addressing the school’s property deficiencies.

The board are currently working with the MoE to finalise plans and timelines for the following major capital works projects:

· Step 1 - The building of a new eight class block adjacent to Donald St, between the Admin Block and the Hall. We hope to begin this project early next year.

· Step 2 - The complete refurbishment of the Middle Block.

· Step 3 - The demolition of the Senior Block.

We are also looking to refurbish Rooms 4 and 5, as well as building a new junior playground.
