Description of work: Asbestos Removal – Block 2

Between: 13/04/24 and 23/04/24 

Under the Work Safe ‘approved code of practice for the management of and removal of asbestos 2016’ we are required to inform affected parties and neighbours of the work being carried out. If we have been unable to contact, you then this has been placed in your letterbox. 

Ward Demolition are a licensed asbestos removal contractor (licence number RA17010014 & RB19030191) and the work being carried out will be undertaken with controls to manage the risks associated with asbestos removal as defined in the Work Safe removal guidelines and set out in the asbestos removal control plan. 

We assure you that you will not be placed at any risk by the removal works. You may see our staff wearing disposable coveralls, gloves, and masks during the removal work, this is a legal requirement as part of the process of removal and taking all practical steps to protect the staff who are in contact with the material during the removal and involved in this process on a regular basis, having potential for long term low dose exposure. Don’t be alarmed by their appearance, if you are outside the exclusion zone, they have set up you will not be at risk. 

Reassurance Air monitoring: For Class A (friable) removal works reassurance air monitoring will take place. The results of the air monitoring, confirming the effectiveness of the control, are provided to the client/owner, and can be made available to others upon request.

Upon completion of the works the independent assessor also certifies clearance.
