Alex Bohme, Nate Hope, Joshua Lieser, Eason Lu, (Year 8); Oscar Binks (Year 7); and An Vinh Nguyen (Year 4), competed in the Regional Chess Power Tournament held at Berhampore School on Wednesday 17 May, 2023. Several schools attended this event, including Raroa Intermediate School, Tawa College and Wellington Girls College. There were 159 competitors overall, 55 of which were in the intermediate and senior group that our KNS team participated in. Our team came third overall, whilst we each played seven games against some very tough opponents! 

Huge thanks to Mr Appleton for entering us into the competition and escorting us for the day. We couldn’t have done it without him!
