Introducing KNS Board member Rosemary Mose

Jacquie Kean —

Kia ora and tālofa lava KNS whānau! My name is Rosemary Mose, and I am humbled to be on the Karori Normal School Board of Trustees as a parent representative. I am married to David and mum to Michaela, Shiloh and Lesina. Our family moved to Wellington from Auckland nearly four years ago and we have really enjoyed becoming a part of the Karori community.

I have worked in education for close to two decades, starting out as a secondary school teacher and middle leader before moving to the dark side (otherwise known as the Ministry of Education haha) for the first ever Pacific team in Auckland and thereafter worked in the Student Achievement Function and thoroughly enjoyed my time working with principals, teachers, students, and community members to raise achievement for ākonga (learners).

I am committed to ensuring all students have equitable access to high quality education and enjoy their time at school. Education is all about giving our kids and young people the opportunity to reach their full potential and live their best lives in the future! My current role is Deputy Chief Executive Pacific at the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

In my spare time (not that I have much!), I enjoy coaching netball and over the years have met lots of awesome KNS students, parents, and families. It is wonderful being part of the KNS whānau and I look forward to working for you all over this board term.

Faafetai tele, ngā mihi nui ki a koutou and God bless

Rosemary Mose
