Message from the Principal

Jacqueline Wee —

Kia ora tātou

This morning I had the privilege of helping award the prizes for the PTA’s recent Weta Workshop Creativity Competition. In total there were 77 entries, over 10% of the school. The standard of pieces was very high, with wide range of media used, including; musical pieces composed and played by students, sculpture, collage, construction, stories and water colours. The judges also commented on the high standard of art work on display in classrooms as they moved around the school.

I am very grateful to, Vanessa Kirkham, the organiser of the competition and to the three judges Jeannie Francis, Raj Chakraborti and Veronica Young. I know that the judging alone took many hours and that the number and high quality of entries made this task very difficult. Award winners and their pieces will be published shortly.

Term 3 - Staff only Day (Friday 26 August)

Please note that we will be holding a staff only day on Friday 26 August, school will be closed for students on this day.
