COVID Updates

Conrad Kelly —

On Monday the Prime Minister announced that Cabinet has agreed to remove the COVID-19 Protection Framework, the key changes for us at KNS are:

  • Mask wearing is no longer required, we will however support those who choose to continue to wear a mask at KNS.
  • Household contacts of a person with COVID-19 do not need to isolate, but instead are asked to complete a RAT test each day, for five days. Children who are household contacts but test negative and do not have COVID-19 symptoms, should continue to attend school.

Information on how to get RAT kits can be found here: Request a RAT– Ministry of Health

We will continue to keep the following measures in place to help reduce the spread of infectious illnesses including COVID-19:

  • Continuing to keep our indoor spaces well-ventilated,
  • Maintaining good hand hygiene,
  • Encouraging everyone to cough or sneeze into elbows and,
  • Most importantly, staying home and getting tested if people have COVID-19 symptoms.

Thank you for your ongoing support, as we have worked through the challenges of the last 2½ years, it has been much appreciated.
