Bricks4KidzÒ “The Wonders of the World” October Holiday Programme

Experience LEGOÒ like never before! Explore real world science, technology and engineering concepts, while building and playing with LEGOÒ. Each day is different - from exploring some of the ancient wonders of the world while building a Greek Empire, to discovering the science of sound with music and dance from around the world, and coding your own Lego dancer using motors and WeDo.
Animal adventures, motorized mining mania, time travel, ocean exploration – experience it all this holidays!

You are also welcome to register in person during our Junior Y2 & 3 pre-season training. The training is free and open to our young cricketers who are transitioning from Have-A-Go or are new to cricket. Cricket Wellington will be leading fun, skills based training across batting, bowling and fielding. Committee members are on hand to talk with parents about the season ahead.

Karori Amateur Athletics Club, Ben Burn Park, Wednesdays 6pm. Season starts 19th October 2022

The Karori Athletics Club provides a fun environment of track and field athletics for children aged 6-15 years old. The Club is open to all – come along on the 19th of October at 6pm and try out some of our activities.

Our club athletes can access specialist coaching and represent the club by competing in Inter-club events and other competitions during the season. It’s also a great way to get additional practice for Western and Central zones competitions.

The Club meets weekly at Ben Burn Park in Karori on Wednesday nights (6.00pm-7.30pm) over the summer from October to March.

OCTOBER 2022 HOLIDAY PROGRAMME – NORTHLAND KIDZ CLUB

With the weather hopefully improving, we'll be doing lots of activities outdoors – the

Botanic Gardens, Otari/Wilton Bush, the Brooklyn Central & George Denton Park play areas,

and mini-golf at Carlucci Land. The Little Dog Barking puppet theatre will be presenting

“Party Pigs”, we'll be making cards and Maori fried bread , & having yummy afternoon teas.

Our favourite Time Cinema will be putting together another selection of early films & cartoons

which we'll see after stopping at Lyall Bay Beach for morning tea.

$45 per child per day (third child onwards :$20), 8.30am to 6pm each day.

On Friday 28 October, something strange is happening down at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre! Come join us for a night of skating, music, food, prizes, a Fright Zone and something a little bit scary...

FOOTBALL MORNING HOLIDAY PROGRAMME (Yrs. 1–8) Wests Rugby Clubrooms, Wilton (all weather indoor surface).

Perfect for beginners and those just wanting to have fun! Come along and improve technique, knowledge and learn more about the basic skills of "The Beautiful Game" (Football).

We will focus on the core skills of control, dribbling, passing, tackling, shooting but most importantly having as much fun as possible!
Week 1 - Tues, Wed, Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm, Week 2 – Tues, Weds, Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm

NETBALL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME – RAROA NORMAL INTERMEDIATE, JOHNSONVILLE

WEEK 2 - Tues, Weds, Thurs 9am-12pm
Years 1-4 - These sessions will work on improving basic netball skills and start to develop technical and tactical knowledge in accordance with the Future Ferns programme. Children will improve their passing, shooting, spatial awareness and defensive skills.
Years 5-8 - These sessions will work on sharpening the basics like passing and shooting and we will learn to develop a better understanding of the 7 aside game and the different positional roles.
We use fun games and drills to develop and challenge young players focusing on the key skill areas of their level of development while also having fun!

SUMMER SERIES FOOTBALL AND NETBALL COMPETITION 2022/2023

Get your friends together and enter a team into the Summer Football (held at Ian Galloway Park or Summer Netball (held at Marsden or Karori Normal School) Competition. Held on Fridays for children 5 years +. A great way to introduce players to the sport in a fun, social environment or for your football/netball winter teams to continue playing and keeping active over summer. 8 weeks prior to Xmas and 8 weeks after Xmas. Prize giving after each round with “Player of the Day” certificates.

Come along and enjoy a family atmosphere. Competition starts on 28 October 2022.

Kelly Sports Summer Series Football/Netball Competition 2022/2023
