I've been actively involved in the school PTA since my son started school and have enjoyed some of the many benefits of being part of the PTA Team:

  • Opportunity to ask questions, contribute ideas and provide feedback about the school through the monthly meetings at which our Principal and a Teacher representative also attends
  • A way to support the school putting on community events such as the Family Picnic and Disco
  • Assisting in fundraising efforts for school equipment and activities, for example through events such as the School Gala and Quiz nights
  • Involved in supporting projects that provide fun opportunities to give back to the school community like the Weta Workshop Creativity Competition and Working Bees
  • Most of all, it's been a great way to learn more about the school and make more connections with other families and staff!

KNS PTA holds very efficient, and welcoming monthly meetings on the 4th Wednesday of each month. We next meet tonight, Wednesday 22nd March from 7.30pm in the Staff room and the one after that is Wednesday 26th April You're very welcome to come and see what it's all about and there is no pressure to commit!

Each project has a team assigned to help make it happen so, if you want to, you can choose what most appeals and contribute as much time as you can spare.

If attending the meetings won't work for you, we'd still love your support. We have a wonderful group of volunteers known as 'Friends of the PTA' who are invited to help at various events as availability allows.

For more information on KNS PTA & 'Friends of the PTA' refer to the KNS website here. If you want to help or have a question, please get in touch via kns.pta@gmail.com

Pictured are just some of the fabulous people involved - it's a fun way to give a little back to the school and its community and we'd love to have you join us!
