Message from the Principal
Kia ora tātou
We are all enjoying a few days of settled weather, it has been wonderful seeing the children being able to get outside at breaktimes.
It was great to spend time in our Year 1 and 2 classes yesterday morning, along with the many parents/caregivers who attended Team Kākano, Team Kōwhai and Team Mānuka’s open morning. A huge thank you to all those who attended, I hope you, now have a better understanding of what is happening in classrooms each day and appreciated the opportunity to ask questions about the programme. Thank you to our Year 1 and 2 teachers and children for opening your classrooms and sharing your learning.
We are very aware that one of the impacts of COVID has been a loss of connection between home and school. The strong partnership we have with whanau is a key part of our KNS culture and we will continue to look for ways we can enhance this within the constraints of the COVID Protection Framework.
