Message from the Principal

Jacqueline Wee —

Kia ora tātou

It is great to be back at KNS this week, having had the previous two weeks at home, first as a household contact and then with COVID. I am very grateful for the messages of support and for the wonderful work of the team at KNS, who went well above and beyond to make sure that I was able to focus on getting well.

The playground is now complete, with the addition of the slide to the new safety surfacing. A huge thank you to you all for your patience, as we have worked our way through contractor availability and supply chain issues.

Please remember to encourage your children to take part in the PTA’s Weta Workshop Competition. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to ‘think outside the square’ and show off their creative side, further details can be found in this newsletter.

Whakataukī o te wiki (Proverb of the Week)

Hei ta te kaiako ka tuwhera i tona kuaha, engari, mahau ano e kuhu mai. - Teachers open the door, but you must enter yourself

A thought to share with your children:

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” (Desmond Tutu)
