Message from the Principal

Phil McIntosh —

E te whānau, tēnā koutou katoa,

Congratulations to those children who played in the cricket tournament at Karori Park last week. You were fantastic ambassadors for the school, participating with enthusiasm, displaying great sportsmanship and respect to your opposition. I’d like to acknowledge the teachers, Katherine Francis and Fiona Campbell who supported the children at this event as well.

Lu Wang (Year 7) created this incredible piece of Art. This was an optional extension activity, where Lu was trying to portray a protest experience in New Zealand.

I’d like to thank those parents who put their names forward to be a part of the board of trustees. We are incredibly grateful that we have so many who are willing to contribute and make KNS a great place to teach and learn. Voting papers for the upcoming election will be distributed on Friday 15th March. Voting closes at 4pm, Friday April 12th.

Candidate statements can be found here.

There are a number of significant building works occurring in the next few weeks. The next concrete pour on Friday will see a traffic management plan in place again for the day. There is also disruption likely in the final week of term around the hall steps and the junior area as the contractors fix a number of pipes.

Next week, we will be holding our Ngā Hui Rangapū (Partnership Meetings). The purpose of these is to connect, discuss how your child has settled and share next steps. Progress towards these next steps will be reported on in Term 2. The booking link can be found here.
