College Athletics Day

Wednesday March 6 saw the school-wide athletics day held in hot & dry conditions, making for a a fast track and some great results.

Up and coming middle distance runner Gemma Groenewald, now in Year 9, was the talking point with another record to her name, breaking the already fast 1500m Junior Girls time set by Tessa Bradley in 5:20.00 flat. Ben Montford in Year 7 broke the High Jump record that had stood since 2011, jumping 1.40m . The qualifying athletes from Year 9 and above went through to the secondary school champs for Thames Valley held on Tuesday March 12, with our Year 7 & 8 qualifiers competing in Term 4.
