One of the many activities in the recent of Culture Week was the chalk art competition.

It was a huge success with a diverse range of outcomes, all based on the theme of Katikati College school Houses, with each House entering a piece of chalk art.  The guest judge was artist Steve Graveson. He was hugely impressed with the colourful interpretations  presented. The criteria were threefold, firstly be as creative as possible, secondly showcase what your house means to you and thirdly, use the space as best as possible. Mr Graveson had a hard time separating the top two Houses.  The placings were as follows: 1st Stewart, 2nd Gledstanes, 3rd MacMillian, 4th Mulgan.
