Thursday, 4 August  was a beautiful sunny day to take the Get2go team to Rotorua to compete against schools from the Bay of Plenty.  The team made up of Jack Harry, Sam Free, Leo Willacy, Charlotte Tanner, Cameron Gilbert, Claire Williams, Fletcher Anderson and Tayla Firth placed 12th out of 24 teams. They were strong in the mountain bike section lead by Claire and Cam. In the orienteering Leo and Tayla were impressive finding 29/30 controls. In the climbing wall, Sam, Charlotte, Jack and Cam showed their skills. And in the final event of kayaking they all pulled together and worked really well as a team, with special paddling/swimming abilities going to Jack. Well done guys! Next year KKC will need to recruit a new team as the event is only for year 9/10. Talk to Juliet if you're keen.
