After seeing an increase of students using scooters at school it has been decided to let them use a designated area to ride. This was born out of Health and Safety issues when riding in areas where there is high pedestrian use.

We have opened up the quad area outside out Technology Block for scooter and skateboard use. Currently a large number of students are using this area.We have discussed the use helmets when riding. It is highly recommended that helmets are worn but as this is not a law in NZ, it is not compulsory.At this point in time this area is not available to use on Thursdays. This is due to others using the area. It would be great if scooters/skateboards could be left at home on this day.Please encourage all scooter/skateboard users to use helmets for their own safety.
