Three riders from the Katikati College Equestrian team attended the BOP Show Jumping Championships held at Te Teko on March 18, in what turned out to be the last inter-school event prior to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Samantha Besley, Anton Turnwald and Mackenzie Walter all competed in the 80cm class and all came home with ribbons. This was a great achievement in fields of up to 50 riders.

Samantha came 3rd in the speed round and Mackenzie and Anton were 4th and 5th respectively in the accumulator, (a timed round with each jump being worth points).
