The first school event for 2021 saw Katikati College send four pairs to the NZSS Beach Volleyball Champs on February 6 and 7.

Held at Mount Maunganui's Main Beach, it was a big event with teams from all over NZ converging on the beach to compete in the hot conditions. Pairs Jess Harray / Jadah MacKay, La Toya Ma / Carmen Kerhanhan, Nina Briggs / Meghann Fraser and Ashton Coxhead / Keaton White all did very well and had great fun.
