An extension to the Hospitality course to meet the needs of Level 3 at Katikati College is finally on the way.

After a long process of compliance Katikati College now has approval from Service IQ, (the Industry Training Organisation for service industries), and NZQA to offer a Hospitality course at Level 3.  A big thank you to local restaurant ‘The Landing’ and Danielle who has supported the school in its endeavours to make this extension happen.

The school is also looking forward to having a new hospitality facility in the near future, allowing students even more opportunities to practise catering skills, café experience and restaurant service in a simulated commercial environment.

We look forward to more support from local businesses in the future as we begin the upgrading of our facilities. Already the number of students opting to take the course next year has increased indicating a real interest in a very popular future pathway.
