The aim of this programme was to help Pasifika boys to feel confident in themselves as Pasifika students at Katikati College and to use this confidence to help them do well both inside and outside of school.

There are many things that our Pasifika boys find hard to share or to talk about with their teachers and parents, so this programme allowed them to have someone available for them to talk to when they needed any support in their school/personal lives. This programme also allowed our Pasifika boys to create goals and work towards achieving them, with the support of a community mentor and Mrs Pekipaki.

These three students have shown great participation and attendance, and have learned some useful life skills over the last weeks through our mentoring sessions.

Hopefully our students were able to take away (not just food but also...) some useful strategies and life skills that may be of use in the future.

A big shout out to the Ministry of Education for allowing us to have the budget to facilitate this initiative. Malo 'aupito because without your support we would not have been able to roll this out.
