On behalf of the Katikati College school community I would like to extend my very warm congratulations to Ms Shelley Power who has recently been appointed to the position of Principal of Wairarapa College in Masterton.  

As many of you know, Shelley has been at Katikati College for the last 16 years and has done an outstanding job in her role as Associate Principal. Her leadership and her expertise, especially around Professional Learning and Development, has ensured our staff, for a large number of years, have accessed the very best Professional Learning that was on offer. A very dedicated and committed educationalist, Shelley has also been involved in a huge number of projects as well as teaching French and more recently in the Year 7 & 8 area. 

Shelley has been more involved in recent times with our School Property Portfolio and has become somewhat of an expert in this area as many of these regulations and processes changed significantly on 1 July 2015. Off campus, Shelley has also been involved in Katch Katikati and I know that this group have certainly enjoyed the work that she has done supporting our community.

Shelley will depart Katikati College at the end of week 5 and will start her new position on Monday 29 August. We wish Shelley all the best with her new adventure in her role as Principal of Wairarapa College.
