The annual school sports exchange took place at Katikati College on Wednesday 3rd August with Katikati College hosting Waihi College. Waihi was too strong on the day winning 10 out of the 15 games, particularly showing their depth in basketball where they won all 4 games.

Though windy and a bit cold, the weather held off to allow all the games to go ahead. First up was football and the 12/13 Boys played well to win 2-1, followed by the 12/13 Girls winning 1-0. The 1st XI Football Boys won 2-1 but the Girls went down 3-2.

The days highlights included the performance of our AIMS 7/8 Hockey team in overpowering Waihi College 14-1 and Development Netball landing a big upset winning 45-9. Netball is definitely on the up as Senior B lost by just 1 point 35-36 and Senior A had the closest game in recent years going down 31-40.

The Junior Boys Basketball team also held their own losing by 1 point in a game that was also a league match for their competition, showing how far they have come this season.
