The 2020 Katikati College Championship attracted over 30 participants.

 As has become a bit of a tradition, Mr Quin’s Sport Science class did a superb job helping out with registration and marshalling on the day. Weather conditions were in competitors' favour and made for some fast times. This fantastic event is supported by the Katikati Boating Club which provides the safety boat for the swim leg in the harbour off the end of Beach Rd. Thanks to skipper Bruce Jonson for giving up his time to help out here.

Year 9 student, Flynn Warren showed a clean pair of heels to win the overall individual championship – one to watch in the future. Emily Ashley was the first individual girl across the line. It was great to see Keaton White, Dylan Wilmshurst and Elijah Byford keeping their team together from last year, this time taking team honours. The junior girls' team of Mackenzie Walter, Leilani Rooks and Gemma Groenwald were the first girls' team home
