Katikati Hockey delighted with funding support

Katikati Hockey —

We are absolutely elated with the community support for us to refurbish our multi-purpose astro-turf.

We are a growing and passionate group who are dedicated to providing opportunities for our hapori to come together and get involved and play sport particularly hockey. With around 160 hockey players in our community this is a vital and well-utilised facility, that is also available for other sports. As previously reported the turf at the college was extensively wind damaged and half of it unable to be used due to safety reasons.

We are delighted to announce that we have secured very generous funding of $65,000 from the Lion Foundation and $100,000 from TECT and are now in a position to move forward with this project. Katikati Hockey would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Sandy Kindley and Gaylia Bundle for doing the mahi to secure this funding.

We would also like to thank Zespri, SBS and all those who have taken part in our Summer Hockey series as they have contributed to our initial savings for this project. We thank you all.

We are a step closer to ensuring our dream comes to fruition. If you would like to help out with a donation then please contact Katikati College for details on how to do this.

Thank you for your generous and ongoing support for us.
