Request from a young innovator

Hilary Johnson —

A creative 14 year old has a website worth taking a look at.

He writes to the College:

I am Josh Callander & I am 14 years old.

I entered the Young Innovators Awards this year and placed 3rd in the Junior category for a website idea called Teen Jobs. It was an innovative idea to enable students to find part time jobs in the community while being completely free to use for both students & employers. After being successful at YIA I was encourage to develop the idea and have now got the website up and running.

The site allows students to list themselves available in a variety of job categories, on their days available, in the areas they can work and households and employers can search for suitable students to help them. This could include everything from babysitting or lawn care right through to more permanent jobs.

I was wondering if this is something that Katikati College would be interested in supporting by promoting the website to students? I plan on going live to students to register during November with the site going live for job searches in December. Please have a look at my website, https://www.teenjobs.co.nz

Kindest regards,Josh Callander
