The Katikati College 2017 ChemQuest teams were under pressure this year as the College is the reigning champion, having won ChemQuest 2016. The three teams also had the added pressure of competing during their holidays.
They got Miss Middleton's usual motivational speech … "Enjoy and please do not come last!" The teams actually achieved the second best result that this school has ever had. The top team gained the 4th prize after they were tied 4th equal with Hillcrest High School.The second Katikati team was placed 6th and the third team was 11th.
