The final event from the Thames Valley Scholastic Qualifiers was held at Waihi Beach on Sunday 14th August.  

With great surf and lovely sunny conditions the competition was strong. Katikati College surfers again did well with Thomas Carter placing 2nd in the U16 Boys and Hamish Lorney 4th. Ayrton Yarrell came 2nd in the U18 Boys and new surfer Jasmine Comrie won the U16 girls.

The TVSS team for the National Scholastics will be chosen from this series and will compete in Gisborne in the September school holidays.
