Recently Katikati College student Ashley Shanley, travelled to Wellington to represent the Bay of Plenty in the Volleyball NZ National Inter-Provincial Championships (IPC). 

There were nine BOP teams competing of which seven managed to achieve a gold, silver or bronze medal. A number of these athletes were also selected in the Tournament Teams for their age groups.

Ashley's U20 Development womens' team won Silver in their division.
