Art news, including important dates

Shana Carlan-Riddell —

The Visual Arts students in Painting, Design, Photography and Printmaking are working towards the completion of their external folio projects, and making great progress. Due to the recent Covid-19 lockdown, NZQA has made changes to the marking procedures and dates.

Based on these changes, we are issuing the following due dates for the Visual Arts students:

  • All Level 3 Art subjects: Monday, November 15, during class time. The folios will need to be authenticated, photographed, and packaged for the courier pick up on November 18, by 8.00 a.m.
  • All Level 2 Art subjects: Thursday, November 11, during form time to the Art room, D3. All work must be secured to the boards for marking.
  • All Level 1 Art subjects: Thursday, November 4, during form time to the Art room, D3. All work must be secured to the boards for marking.

Extra tutorial times available:

  • Every lunchtime up to due dates.
  • Thursday, September 23, 3.05 - 5.00 p.m. D3 with Mrs. Riddell
  • Tuesday, September 28, 3.05 - 5.00 p.m. D3 with Mrs. Riddell

If parents or caregivers have any concerns or issues, please feel free to contact Mrs Riddell on sriddell@katikaticollege.school.nz. Tutorial times for Term Four will most likely be Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as well, leading up to the due dates.
