This year, as a continuing incentive by Year 12 Carpentry students to 'give back' to our school, it was decided to build a new equipment shed for our 1st XIV Rugby team. The old shed has seen many years of use and has now reached the end of its life.

With funding support from the Lions Club of Katikati and some fund raising by the team, the carpentry students priced and sourced the materials and constructed the new shed to their own design after consulting with the team. It is great to have these ongoing initiatives where students can engage in meaningful opportunities to enhance our school.

All agree it is a big improvement on the old shed.
