Year 7 Robotics finished up in Week four of Term 2 with a number of students eager to get involved again in 2022.

This year we elected to separate the Year 7 students from the Year 8 and 9 students, starting them before the official scrimmage season got underway. It was impressive to see the creativity shown and the enthusiasm. 

The 2021/22 season has now started with the reveal of the challenge. This year it is called “pitching in” . Teams must move, throw fabric balls into scoring zones both high and low, the scrimmage finishes with robots attempting to “hang” from horizontal bars with all parts of the robot off the ground. The official launch for the BOP region is Saturday, June 26 at the House of Science Cameron Road, Tauranga.
