The library is getting a makeover

Ann Murphy —

After 37 years we are having a re-fit of our library. New carpet, new wall linings, new shelving, new furniture! This will be so exciting!

We are aiming for an inviting and inclusive space to support the reading, information and creative needs of the school. We will be a flexible space and look forward to hosting some wonderful student led activities and events in the future.

We expect to be open again in Week 3 of Term 3, all things going well. Further information will be available closer to that time. Please feel free to pop in for a look when you are next in the school.

Thank you to the school community for your forebearance while we are closed. Students might like to check out the wonderful Katikati Public Library, Pātuki Manawa. Remember you still have access to our digital resources at  kkclibrary.mykoha.co.nz

Thank you also to Carolyn Pentecost and the Board of Trustees for their support and Louise Buckley and Simon Finnimore for being the prime movers. Steve Gilroy and Ross Christian are doing a magnificent job bringing a 1980s building into the 21st century.

See the images below for a quick reminder of what we used to look like.
