Year 7 and 8 Sapphire Springs Trip

Jess Butler —

Towards the end of Term One, our Year 7 and Year 8 students spent the day at Sapphire Springs. The goal of these trips was to build relationships, and for students to get to know other students from different classes. The students went on a small hike in the morning and then spent the remainder of the day swimming and playing games together. We were extremely lucky to have such great weather both days. It was so awesome to see the students in a more relaxed environment thriving in the sun. We also had an amazing turn out from parents and whānau who put their hand up to help us out for the day. We would not have been able to do it without them so a massive thank you to those who joined us.

We are now looking forward to more day trips throughout the year focusing on challenging ourselves to take on new experiences. Thanks again to all that helped make the day happen!
