Congratulations are in order for the 20 students from Waihi College, Katikati College, Hauraki Plains College and Aquinas College who completed the week-long gruelling Bluelight/NZDF Police Camp in the first week of the school holidays at Trentham Army Base.

The physically and mentally challenging experience gave students a taste of what life might be like in the Police or the NZDF, included a 5 hour PT session that will go down in history, and finished with a formal graduation in the mess. Rahira Parker won the Overall Excellence Award, Georgia Gray the Overall Merit Award, and Shaedyn Delamere the Peers’ Choice. Our sincere thanks go to Senior Constable Harley North and Kristy Graveson who accompanied the group, Bluelight and the NZDF Youth Development Unit for making this very brand new, very special course happen for our students!
