TVSS Athletics and TVSS Swimming

Juliet Dunlop-Fraser —

A large team of 45 athletes went across to Waihi College on March 4 to compete against eleven other Thames Valley schools.

Owing to rain some events were cancelled and all of the track events were timed finals (no heats). Though the conditions were slippery and steamy, some good results were achieved, with 22 athletes achieving qualification to Wai-BOP Athletics Champs, some being dispensated through due to their event not going ahead. The best results are shown below. We apologise for the quality of the scan - it's what can happen when we have to work at home...

The Swimming championships took place on Wed 11th March with a team of 14 swimmers going up to the Thames Memorial Pool.
