The Seasons programme which has been running successfully in local primary schools is now being offered to Year Seven and Eight students at Katikati College.

Seasons is a widely recognised programme run throughout New Zealand and has made a real difference in many children’s lives.

Seasons groups are for young people who are missing someone important from their daily life because of changes at home – such as parents separating, or a family member having died, or moved away or gone to prison. The groups are small and give a chance for young people to talk about their experience of loss and change.

Seasons groups will be starting soon at college. Most students who come say they like Seasons – a lot! If you think this would help your child, fill in the permission slip which will be sent home with students or contact the coordinator:
