International Students Farewell

Helen Willacy —

It is almost time to say farewell to our International students

Riko, Reon, Miyu, Mio have been here all year and are heading home to Japan. Bom, Siyeon and Sol head back to Korea after their year here. Luisa has been here for two terms from Germany. Phamake has spent his second year here and we look forward to welcoming him back in 2020 after a holiday at home in Thailand.

This term the senior students have been out and about experiencing activities around the Bay of Plenty and beyond. They also organised a fundraising food stall and donation boxes to raise over $200 for Typhoon Hagibis relief in Japan. Thanks to Ms McDonald-Nairn and the school community for their support.

We wish all our International students all the best for the future and hope you have enjoyed the challenges, learning and experiences of your time in New Zealand.

We are always looking for host families interested in hosting students for either short or long-term stays. We have several students looking for homestays with horse-riding enthusiasts at the moment. If you would like more information about becoming a homestay family, please email Barbara Green at bgreen@katikaticollege.school.nz.
