Katikati College sent a team of 3 girls to the North Island Snowboarding Champs in September.  

Shani Benn, Stella Hamilton-Wallace and Linsey Tomsett are all keen winter athletes and spend as much time as they can on the ski fields honing their skills. Our top result was in the Dual Slalom where Shani finished 12th, Stella 14th and Linsey 26th. Stella also competed in the Boardercross where she was placed 24th. These excellent results, when combined, gave Katikati College 12th place overall out of the North Island schools.
