With the senior students now departing on study leave for NCEA it is the turn of Year 9 and 10 students to make sure they are ready for their exams which will take place in Week 5. With this in mind our ARC focus for these year groups is Effective Revision.

Doing well in exams is about good preparation, not good luck. Students need a study plan that is challenging but realistic, one that allows for concentrated periods of revision as well as other commitments and relaxation. Sample planners will be shared and students assisted with creating their own. Teachers will share strategies for how to revise effectively, actively processing the information and “fixing it in the brain”.

The focus for Year 7 and 8 will be on bringing their efforts towards their ARC Awards to a very successful conclusion.
