New Zealand Cyber Security Challenge is an online competition being run by the Cyber Security Researchers of Waikato (CROW) lab at the University of Waikato. 

Participants attempt an online qualifying round (Round 0) from 12 - 26 June and the top 150 will be invited to the final competition on July 15.

On July 14, they are offering a full day of training on different topics with experts in the field, along with a ‘job fair’ for students to meet potential employers and engage with industry representatives and a series of talks from experts in the Cyber Security industry, including speakers from INTERPOL.

There are big prizes to be won (iPads, GoPros, Smartphones, etc) and they also offer travel vouchers for those who need the extra help to get to Hamilton.
