The Bug Man is coming
Ruud Kleinpaste, aka the Bug Man, will be in town for the day on November 20. He will be talking to students at Katikati Primary School, the College and the kindergarten during the day.
He is also conducting a garden ramble of two food producing gardens. This begins at 2.45 p.m. and will go until 5.00 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available from the Arts Junction. Numbers are limited.
From 6.00 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. Ruud will present a free public event, the topic being, “How to murder your vegies more slowly.” This will be about the incredible biodiversity in our gardens and will touch on clever growing techniques. It also covers a few common pests and diseases and what you can do to reduce their impact on your plants and crops. This event will be at St Paul’s Church on the corner of Mulgan Street and the main road.
